Shaykh Abdulkadir Musa Jahun Islamic Foundation (SHAMJIF) is a voluntary organization established in honor of the Late Shaykh Abdulkadir Musa Jahun. His lifelong mission was to spread Islamic knowledge, particularly Qur’anic education and Zaure Ilmi (Islamic study circles), while supporting orphans, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and the less privileged in society.
Initially operating as an Islamic school, SHAMJIF has grown to include a variety of impactful programs under the leadership of its Chairman, Prof. Muhammad Safiyyu Abdulkadir and the Secretary General Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir. The foundation’s activities now encompass Islamic research, societal re-orientation, moral development, and environmental sustainability.
Founded in the late 1960s, the foundation’s original school, Malam Abdulkadir Madrasah, served as a progressive alternative to the traditional educational system. Today, the madrasah offers preparatory, boarding, and day school options, as well as adult education programs. Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Bauchi State’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, the foundation has enrolled over 900 students annually, providing free Qur’anic and Islamic education to boys, girls, and adults.
At SHAMJIF, we believe in combining academic excellence with character development. By fostering values such as discipline, tolerance, and social responsibility, we aim to prepare individuals to serve Allah and contribute positively to society.
An effort made for the happiness of others lifes us above ourselves.
